Mission of the AVGPA
The Andy Valley Gymnastics Parent Association (AVGPA) provides financial and organizational support to Andy Valley Gymnastics’ team gymnasts and their families.

The AVGPA raises funds through tagging, sales, and individual and group fundraisers to offset the costs associated with team competition.

Additionally, the AVGPA encourages communication between families and coaches, coordinates special events and seeks opportunities to foster community and team spirit.

Cost
Members of the AVGPA pay an annual fee of $10 per gymnast (or $15 per family with multiple gymnasts), due at the end of September each year. These funds help to cover legal fees and basic operating costs of the organization.

Governance
The Andy Valley Gymnastics Parents’ Association is governed by a board of directors elected by its membership at the Annual Meeting Banquet each May. Board members are required to be members of the Association. The AVGPA relies heavily on the volunteer efforts of its members. AVGPA finances are run separately from those of Andy Valley Gymnastics. It is currently organized as a not for profit corporation and has made application to the IRS to become a tax-exempt organization.

Meetings
The AVGPA holds monthly meetings at Andy Valley Gymnastics, on the third Friday of the month at 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. Meeting notices are sent via email, hung on the AVGPA bulletin board and posted on the AVGPA Facebook page.
